Body 1.5 mm long; variable in colour: vinaceous, pale violet, greenish gray, or dark blue; dorsum usually mottled or marbled; pleura and sternum pale yellow with round spots made by hypodermal nuclei. Head with ocelli 8+8 on black patches; postantennal organ large, with 4 unequal peripheral tubercles; antennae shorter than head; ant.IV with 7 sensilla; a large ventral eversible bilobed sac between ant.III and IV. Unguis long, slender, slightly curving, unidentate near middle of inner margin; unguiculus with suboblong basal lamella and setaceous apex, extending to tooth of opposite claw; tenent hair unknobbed. Abdominal dentes stout, subcylindrical; mucrones half as long as dentes, apically rounded; inner lamella narrow, simple; outer lamella with large subtriangular dorsal lobe; anal spines long and slender, curving, on large contiguous papillae.
