Length from 3.4-4.5 mm. Body bicolorous: yellow to yellowish brown from head to postpetiole; gaster dark brown. Antennae 12-segmented with a 3-segmented antennal club; short antennal scapes that do not surpass the posterior margin of the head; antennal scrobe present; antennal insertion surrounded by a distinct elevated ridge; anterior margin of clypeus with a median notch; sculptured middle ridge of the frons distinct and cleanly split into two ridges that run parallel to each other at a point even with eyes, then rejoining the clypeus; mandibles finely and densely striate; propodeal spines long and acute, curved upward; slope of mesosoma even and gradual; square-shaped petiolar node; all dorsal surfaces with numerous erect or sub-erect hairs, those projecting from the frontal carinae between the antennal insertions and the occipital border relatively short (by comparison with other species of the group); body surfaces from head to postpetiole covered with irregular reticulate-rugosity; longitudinal rugae prominent on dorsum of head; 2-segmented waist; gaster armed with a stinger.
