Adult 14-17 mm, variable in colour ranging from green to brownish-orange. Superficially L. acuta similar to L. oratorius, but latter more robust with presence of brownish to black ventro-lateral spots on abdomen (L. acuta lacks these spots). Paraclypea long, slightly thickened medially, and taper to pointed apices. Rostrum short and just reaches apices of mesocoxae. Antennal segments of variable colour, brown to brownish-orange. Well-developed dark brown humeral calli on pronotum, with a creamish strip bordering lateral margins of pronotum. Colour of abdomen variable, but dorsum usually darker. Male: pygophore small and almost rounded; claspers bifurcated at their apices. Female: a spermatheca with twisted neck and long coiled tube.
