Morphology

Conidiomata pycnidia, immersed. Conidia exuded in a white or pinkish-coloured ooze, variable in shape and size, straight or slightly curved, cylindrical or ellipsoid, hyaline, often biguttulate and becoming 1-septate. In culture: aseptate conidia (2.5–)4–7(–12) × 2–3.5 µm; 1(–2)-septate conidia slightly larger (5.5–)7–10(–13) × 2.5–3.5(–5) µm. On plant material: aseptate conidia 5.5–11 × 2–4(–6) µm, 1(–2)-septate conidia 7.5–14(–16) × 2.5–4(–6) µm. Chlamydospores not formed.
