Disease

On dead areas of leaves, although pathogenic on some plants. Associated with a leaf spot of taro, also corm rot.

Morphology

Ascomata immersed. Asci sac-like, 8-spored, 50–90 × 40–60 µm. Ascospores 25–50 × 10–20 µm, irregularly arranged in ascus, hyaline, slightly darkened when mature, ellipsoid, straight or slightly curved, 3–4-transverse septa and 0–2 vertical septa.
