Disease

Angular leaf spot, lesions circular to angular, up to 6 mm diam., small black centre surrounded by a wide greenish halo.

Morphology

Conidiophores emerging on underside of leaf, in dense groups, short and packed closely together, pale to medium brown, 6–18 × 3–5 µm, with small conidial scars. Conidia 20–80 × 4–6 µm, 1–10-septate, reddish brown, paler towards the apex, smooth or roughened, cylindrical to obclavate, sometimes slightly curved, tip pointed or rounded, basal cell truncate.
