Diagnostic Notes

Adult forewing span c. 4-5cms. Bogong moths have characteristic marks on each fore wing resembling a dark arrow-marked streak, broken by one round pale spot and one comma-shaped spot. The hind wings are light brown with a darker border. At rest the moth holds its wings like a tent over its body.
