Unmounted material: Adult female is circular, grey and about 2 mm in diameter. Testa (scale) is almost circular, slightly convex, light to dark grey, diameter ca 1.5-2.2 mm.

Slide mountd material: Body pyriform and bears characteristic ornamentations on posterior  part (pygidium) – these consist of two pairs of lobes (one median and one lateral) and three short, largely spaced (exterior, lateral and median) combs. There are no glands around vulva (i.e.perivulvar pores lacking).
