Adult wing span approximately 30mm, body length approximately 17mm;  body colour a dull, yellow-brown; forewing colour with red scales along the costal and inner margins, with dark brown and red scales appearing as defined lines along the Rs, M and CuA wing veins to the termen; hindwings relatively uniformly creamy- white with  some darker scale near the apex.
