Carapace:  oval, 5 prominent triangular teeth (including the tooth next to the eye) along each oblique anterolateral margin

 

Colour: patchy bluish green and orange underneath

 

Last leg: slightly flattened (not as paddle-shaped as other swimming crabs)

 

Size: to 65mm wide.
