This is a monotypic genus found in North and Central America.

The diagnostic feature is: In side view, the face is perpendicularly elevated behind the clypeus.

Other characters include: Antennae 10-segmented, funicle 5-segmented; pronotum not excavated behind middle of the anterior margin.

Adult body length 9.5 - 17.00mm.
