Description

Native to the southern Asiatic region, the coconut rhinoceros beetle was introduced throughout the Pacific primarily as a result of the increased sea traffic during World War II..

Distributed throughout Asia and Western Pacific. Sri Lanka, Upolu, Western Samoa, American Samoa, Palau Islands, New Britain, West Irian, New Ireland,  Pak Island and Manus Island (New Guinea), Fiji, Cocos (Keeling) Islands, Mauritius, Reunion.
