Description:

Seed Colour: Brown light

Seed Length: 4 - 7mm

Seed Sculpture: Rugose

Seed Shape: Wedge shaped

Two main types of chickpeas are grown: Desi – small and angular with thick seed coats and darker in colour (yellow to brown/black); Kabuli – large rounded seed that is white to cream coloured.

Different forms: Whole seeds, split (ie. chana dahl).
