Achene appendages: Beakeed with non glandular hairs

Achene Colour: Variable - Light/Dark brown

Achene Length: Greater than 10mm

Achene Sculpture: Hooked spikes

Achene Shape: Oblong

Burrs 10–12 mm long, with non-glandular hairs, with numerous hooked spines, c. 3 mm long, beaks 1–2 mm long.
