Fruit appendages: Ridges and grooves

Fruit Colour: Mottled, Brown

Fruit Length: 5 - 7mm

Fruit shape: Two halves

Seed Colour: Variable - Light/Dark brown

Seed Length: Less than 1mm

Seed Sculpture: Reticulate

Seed Shape: Rhomboid (Diamond shaped), Cordate (Heart shaped)

Annual herb to 50 cm high.

Capsule dehiscing by 2–4 valves.
