SPHDS is the Subcommittee on Plant Health Diagnostic Standards. It is a subcommittee of the Plant Health Committee (PHC), reporting to Primary Industries Standing Committee (PISC). SPHDS was formed in 2004 with the agenda to progress plant diagnostic capability and capacity in Australia.

Annual Diagnosticians Workshop:
The workshop is to be held over two half days at the Seminar Room, Ecosciences Precinct (ESP), Dutton Park, Brisbane from lunchtime 29 February through to lunchtime 1 March 2012.
The 2012 workshop will focus on identifying the needs of plant biosecurity diagnosticians in the areas of training and ICT diagnostic tools.
