The adults are medium - sized weevils with distincly divided lines on the head, thorax and wings. The blunt, short heads point straight forward, not down under the thorax. The males, 1.3-1.4 cm in length, are smaller than the females 1.4-1.5 cm. The adult stages of male and female last 8 and 9 months respectively.
