Generic diagnostic characters: head very feebly elevated between antennal insertion; antennal insertion close approximate, distinctively narrower in width than lower eye lobe; antennae shorter than body, not extended beyond half of elytra in both sexes; prothorax mostly cydariform, few oblong-oval; elytra truncate, dentate at angle; legs with femora gradually thicken towards apex; mid femora carinate along its length, sometimes the hind femora as well.

 

Specific characters: Length 10.0 - 15.0 mm; breadth 2.2 - 4.0 mm; Body densely clothed with yellowish pubescence; elytra with dark brownish or black markings; more yellowish pubescence marking on elytra.
