Apterae: body 0.9-1.8mm, variable in colour from dark green, almost black, pale yellow to almost white.  Commonly light green mottled with darker green, with dark siphunculi and a pale or dusty cauda.  Often ant-attended. 
 
Alate: body 1.1-1.8mm. head, thorax and siphunculi are black, the abdomen of a variable colour
 
Cornicles or siphunculi uniformly sclerotized from tip to base and darkly pigmented, longer than the cauda, gradually taper towards apex with a small dilation.  Dorsal abdominal segments uniformly sclerotized and unpigmented. Cauda usually have 4-7 hairs and are paler than the cornicles. Antennal tubercles weakly developed.
