Shell width 2.8-13.4 mm; shell height 1.8-7.95mm, 5-6 whorls, subglobose with depressed spire, narrow umbilicus and large round lunate aperture with reflected lip and columella. Whorls increase regularly with size. Shell porcellanous with impressed sutures and sculpture of fine irregular growth lines and fine spiral striae. Shell straw-coloured or brown, sometimes with a red brown peripheral band.
