Small size; most species with limited pale integumental markings on the head and thorax; fore wing with 2 submarginal cells; vestiture very sparse; almost naked; metasomal tergum 1 without longitudinal groove; metasomal terga black; glossa is short and subtruncate to weakly bilobed and lacks seriate hairs but has fine hairs on the posterior surface.
Female: Pygidal plate absent.
Male: Face with one to several yellow maculae.
Larvae
About 8 mm in length; produced labiomaxillary region; absence of a spinneret; lacking subapical mandibular tooth and antennal papillae; body integument nonspiculate.
