Adult body length 2.2-4.4mm; body relatively shotr, ration of width to length less than 2:1; antennal cavities almost completely heavily punctate (punctures 2 or 3 x as large as facets of eye) except for a small smooth area close to anterior edge, more or less completely closed enlcosed behind the sharp diagonal marginal carina.
