Inconspicuous moth; body length c. 18mm, wing span c. 40mm.. The body and wings are light dusty or grayish brown. Some dusty mottling is present on the forewings.

 

Ocelli present, eyes not hairy, no scales on eyes, male antennae ciliate with cilia, front of head with no scales in a tuft, labial palps not porrect, with scale tufts projecting, curved upwards, abdomen without tufts of scales, protibial spines projecting laterally, hindwing with M3/Cu1 unstalked, these veins separate at their bases, hindwing with M2 present, forewing with accessory cell present.
